With every club now unveiling its home strip for the 2026-27 campaign, supporters have had their first proper look at the new Premier League club kits that will define the season. From faithful updates to bold redesigns, this year’s collection reflects the different identities of England’s top flight while giving fans plenty to debate before a competitive ball is kicked.
Tradition meets experimentation across the League
Several clubs have opted for evolution rather than revolution. Arsenal’s home shirt retains the club’s iconic red body and white sleeves, enhanced with refined detailing that gives the kit a clean, contemporary finish. Liverpool also stays true to its identity, pairing its famous red base with understated accents that deliver a timeless appearance.
Manchester United introduces subtle graphic elements within its traditional red shirt, while Manchester City’s sky blue design incorporates modern textures without straying far from its familiar look. Chelsea continues with royal blue as its foundation but adds fresh detailing that separates this version from previous releases.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United’s black and white stripes receive a refreshed interpretation, Tottenham Hotspur maintains its minimalist white aesthetic, and Aston Villa preserves its instantly recognisable claret and blue colours with updated finishing touches.
Promoted Sunderland returns to the Premier League with a striking red and white striped shirt that embraces the club’s heritage, while Leeds United once again delivers a predominantly white design with restrained detailing. Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth, Everton, Ipswich Town and Hull City have all introduced designs that balance tradition with subtle innovation rather than dramatic reinvention.
Arsenal tops the supporters’ vote
To celebrate the launch of the complete home collection of Premier League club kits, the Premier League invited supporters to vote for their favourite home shirt through its official website.
Arsenal finished first with 14% of the vote, narrowly edging Liverpool on 13%, while Manchester United claimed third with 12%. Manchester City followed with 9%, while Chelsea and Sunderland both earned 8%.
Newcastle United received 6%, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest finished on 5%, while Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur each collected 3%. Hull City attracted 2%, Everton, Fulham and Ipswich Town received 1% apiece, while Bournemouth and Brentford did not register a percentage in the final results. The close voting reflected how divided opinion remains whenever new kits are released, with supporters placing equal value on heritage, originality and simplicity.
The timing of the launches also adds to the anticipation surrounding the new campaign. Across Europe, clubs are currently involved in pre-season friendlies that allow managers to integrate new signings, build match fitness and refine tactical systems before competitive football returns. The new kits have therefore already made their on-field debut, giving fans an early glimpse of how they look in match conditions rather than promotional photographs alone.
