FC Barcelona have reached a statistical level where two separate records are developing alongside one another. At home, Hansi Flick’s side have won 22 consecutive LaLiga matches. At the other end of the pitch, they have produced 36 goals across their first eight competitive fixtures in 2026/27.
The home sequence began with the 6-0 victory over Valencia on 14 September 2025. It has survived three venues, beginning at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, continuing at Montjuïc and extending into the return to Spotify Camp Nou. The 7-2 victory over Racing Santander on 16 September took the run to 22 and matched Barcelona’s third-longest sequence in LaLiga history.
That leaves two historic figures ahead. Barcelona’s second-best home run stands at 25 victories, recorded between 1951/52 and 1953/54. The club record is 39, set between 1957/58 and 1960/61. Getafe, Real Madrid and Alavés are the next three league visitors to Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona’s attack is producing records at an extraordinary rate
The home sequence is built on consistency, but the attacking statistics are a different kind of achievement.
Barcelona’s 36 goals from their first eight competitive matches are their highest total at that stage since 1935/36. In seven LaLiga fixtures, they have scored 31 times, a club record for the opening seven league games and the second-highest total recorded in LaLiga, behind Sevilla’s 40 in 1940/41.
More revealing is how those goals have been distributed. Barcelona have recorded seven braces and two hat-tricks in their first eight matches. That gives them nine multi-goal performances, surpassing the equivalent figure from any Barcelona side in the 21st century, including the great attacking teams built around Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar.
Raphinha has supplied 14 of those goals. His consecutive hat-tricks against Racing and Sevilla followed braces against Elche, Rayo Vallecano and Feyenoord, while he also scored against Athletic Club and Valencia. His production has been matched by a player operating from a very different position.
Lamine Yamal has seven goals and four assists across the campaign so far, giving Barcelona a pairing capable of deciding matches through both finishing and creation. Across LaLiga and the Champions League, the two have directly contributed to 27 of Barcelona’s 36 goals.
That level of concentration in two attackers does not mean the rest of Flick’s forward line has become secondary. Fermín López has already scored four times, including a brace against Elche, while Anthony Gordon has also contributed assists. The attack has multiple routes to goal, but Raphinha and Yamal have established the most productive partnership.
Flick’s record at Barcelona also puts the current numbers into context. Since taking charge, his teams have scored 354 goals in 125 matches, averaging 2.83 per game. Only Helenio Herrera, Luis Enrique and Ferdinand Daučík have better scoring averages among Barcelona coaches who have managed at least 125 matches.
